I am so glad that it is all over! I hate the vicous attack ads and lies told about both candidates and issues. I wish that people running for office would just tell us what they will do for our country and communities instead of tearing each other down. I would hate for someone that I know personally to run for public office just because i would hate to see them viciously attacked on the public airways. I feel sorry for sarah Palin's kids.

I agree with all of these comments! I have heard of some kids falsly accusing adults of molestation but that is EXTREMELY rare, most of the time the accusations are true but if the father was acknoledging that the molestation happened and blamed it on the daughter then that is unthinkable! if it is a little girl then it is unlikely that she seduced her uncle, a teenage girl might do that but not a little girl. What is it about some uncles that they think that their neice or nephew was put there for their s..xual entertainment? I'm not into kids s..xually anyway but if any of my siblings ever have kids then I will be a good uncle and treat them with respect.

A lot of this has to do with the fact that this is not a theocracy.  There is suppossed to be a clear seperation of church and state.  This nation is a melting pot of different beliefs, it would not be fair to have a Christian agenda.

Don't be afraid...God's will is always being done, even if we disagree with what is happening. If God didn't want Obama as the president, he wouldn't be the president. God is NOT weak and powerless. He does as he pleases, and that includes the presidents that are chosen to run this nation. Besides, we aren't that important. Look at all of the other countries....God isn't only concerned with us. He has other nations and people just as important.

I had a chuckle the other night when I found out that Obama won (after I voted for him too), because I thought about you fundies and James Dobson talking about how god will put the best person in...and that same god put obama in...why dont you just accept gods plan??...we knew he was going to win..and who is to say that your god didnt put him in office...just because you dont want him in there....I mean who are you to know what your god thinks and does?  Does he/she/it have to run things by you before making a move?  That is how I know your god is made up, they have the same prejudices of their followers...funny how that works.

yeah, i'm not really lutheran, my mom is, and on the weekends that i don't go to my normal church, i have to go there. i know what you're saying about not taking communion for certain reasons, that's not exactly what i meant when i wrote that, though. i meant that if someone was just being lazy and not doing it because they felt they had something more important than god or they just didn't feel like it, that's a problem.

oh wow.

obama is not a terrorist.  and quite frankly, I would be more worried about the problems that women would face if McCain were elected president.   the covering of the face is justified by doctrine and law, not by a president that is elected in the US.  because of a thing called the constitution, we could NEVER be forced to do something like that.  we're too religiously tolerable.  

and personally, i think that i would rather cover my face, than have mcCain elected and not be able to get an abortion if I was raped by say, my stepfather.

I am not sure that we can damage the Earth as it is a rather large place, as for global warming during the past several thousand years this planet has had many warming and cooling cycles, back in the 1970's scientists were worried about a new ice age and now we are in a warming cycle. I believe that God owns the earth but put us in charge so we should try to take good care of it but the prophesies also indicate that God will destroy (renovate) the earth by fire like He did with the flood so either way it might not matter. If you trusted someone to care for your home while you were away would it matter if they trashed it if you were going to tear it down and rebuild anyway??

It is interesting, here in Colorado Springs there is now a pro-life crisis pregnancy center open across from a Planned Parenthood and that will bring out the differences between those who are genuanly pro-choice and those who are actually pro-abortion. those who are pro-choice will be pleased that women now have a convenient choice between killing their baby or keeping him or her alive and having both of them taken care of.

Feminist Molly Yard claimed to be pro-choice but revealed her true colors by supporting China's forced abortion program.

Personally, if I was in the situation I would keep the baby. But I believe other people can make their own decisions. I'm pro-choice. I don't look down on women who keep their babies; they do what they need to. All I know is that God understands my mind and soul...and He knows what I will choose. It's not a moral issue to me, because I feel that an "all-knowing" being knows me as a person and not as a boxed-in opinion. And in knowing me, I have a hard time believing I'll be condemned for something I see as a "right" choice.

Thats exactly right. It is just like the second amendment- Kerry, Obama- doesn't really matter who, they go out, give speeches praising the second amendment. Then, when no one is watching, they go to the senate ( well, not so much obama here... lets face it, he's spent about 143 days in the senate, and he often doesn't vote, he'd hate to have to take a side on something and be on record for it... anyway) they go back to the senate and see to it that the only people that can have guns are law enforcement and the military, all the while forcing non lethal weapons onto police forces and degrading our military comparing them to nazy thugs. This is something that I have struggled with. I am trying (with help from God hopefully) to get to the point where I can admire a woman's body purely from an aethetic perspective without becomming arroused. I still try to avoid porn because of the pointlessness and frustration of lusting for someone that i cannot have. I have found that most or all of the "evidence" that proves that evolution is a "fact" can be explained by alternate theories including young earth creationism and old earth intelligent design. Evolution started out as a theory but is no longer a theory, it is now a religious dogma.
